Snickerdoodle Apple Cobbler

I have finally made my first fall recipe of the year and man it was a good one! It lasted about a whole 48 hours in our house. Once Hubby noticed it sitting in the bottom of the refrigerated waiting for him, it was a goner. I believe his exact words, while eating it straight from the pan with a fork, "Oh man, is this good!" That's when I knew it was a success and it went on the list of recipes to make again.

6 granny smith apples
1 package Pillsbury Refrigerator Sugar Cookie Dough-pre rolled
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Wash, peel and slice 6 granny smith apples.

Spread them on the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Sprinkle brown sugar over the apples.

Dice up 1 tablespoon of butter and add to the pan.

Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon into a small bowl.

Take the pre-rolled sugar cookie dough and coat each one
in the cinnamon-sugar mix.

Evenly arrange all the sugar cookies on top of the apples.

Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cookies
are finished baking on top.

Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Serve with your favorite vanilla custard or ice cream.
