Pizza Bagel Night

Tonight was Pizza Bagel Night in our house.  Also known as, Katie Wants a Pizza Fast Night.  These are so easy to make and are ready in 15 minutes. Plus, you won't be tempted to over eat, because the entire pizza won't be sitting in front of you, calling your name.  I hate when that happens.

Below I have also listed a great recipe for your own homemade pizza sauce.

Pizza Bagels

Bagels (I like Thomas Bagels)
Pizza sauce (store bought or your own)
Mozzarella cheese
Favorite pizza toppings

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line and baking sheet with tinfoil.
Separate the bagels and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce onto each half.
Sprinkle with cheese and top with your favorite toppings.
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Homemade Pizza Sauce *Makes about 2 cups*
2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 can (12 oz) tomato paste
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.  Spread desired amount over pizza crust or transfer to a storage container.  Refrigerate, covered, up to 1 week or freeze up to 6 months.

  1. I've done something similar. However, a variation would be hamburger buns instead of bagels. It's a little softer than the bagel, but still good!

  2. Thanks for the tip! I've never thought of that. I almost never have hamburger buns in the house. Bagels though...that's a different story. :)
