Only 7 Ingredients For Dinner Tonight

Salisbury Steak

1 egg
2 slices of bread torn into pieces (about 1/2 cup)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil

In a large bowl, combine egg, bread crumbs, seasoning, pepper, garlic and crumbled ground beef.  Mix well and shape into four patties.

In a large skillet, cook patties in oil over medium high heat (5-7 minutes on each side) until internal temperature is 165 degrees.

Make a simple gravy or reserve the pan drippings and make your own...

2 tablespoons pan drippings
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Stir flour into pan drippings until well blended. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for two minutes until it thickens.

Place patties back into the skillet with the gravy. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until heated through.

Serve over your favorite pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice pilaf.
